Instant Gratification

NERD just made 2 HUGE announcements today.

First off, after a lot of speculation and blank-faces to the random newcomer “Rhea” who’s been pulling a lot of the vocal weight on the NERD tours as of recent… She has been confirmed as N.E.R.D’s 4th member. Don’t you dare make the obvious Black Eyed Peas comparison (don’t you fucking do it!!). This is a big change for everyone. But, is this a good thing, or a bad thing? The answer lies in the music… so when that IG album drops next year, I am sure you’ll get your answer.

The MTV write up said something about Pharrell’s falsetto only being able to do so much at times… so I am sure they’d have a lot more to work with musically. I am sure Pharrell will still write the songs, and we know where his head at when it comes to directing vocally (word to the Justified DVDs). I am not even worried about that. She has a pretty face, and a very strong voice to back it up. I know everyone isn’t particularly “OK” with this due to the obvious change of things and how they were naturally… but depending on how good the music is, our minds will all probably change for the better.

Can’t wait.

More New Common "The Eye"

New Common called “The Eye”. Looks to be produced by The Neptunes, and people have said Pharrell sings the hook so that seems highly likely. Something with a much more smooth feel. I’m really liking it.
