Money Management One Stop Shop Producers’ Conference Trailer
I know I talk a ton of shit about all kinds of crap, but this was serious. I can’t stress enough just how amazing that entire weekend was. You’ll see S1, Picnic, CaneiLive, and a gang of other familiar faces. Matter of fact, I make a quick appearance in this clip, but that’s neither here nor there.
Bottom line, there were so many great people in the atmosphere, and I was blessed to be in the mix of all that. If you make music, and you’re truly serious about your craft, I suggest you meet me there in ‘09 because it’s only gonna be that much better.

Every now and then I get so consumed with the movement, I go ahead and google our namesake just to see what kind of stake we hold. Today I did so, and found this.
Now I do remember sending the post to the Big Homie, whether or not he passed it along to Wale is an unknown. However, that there made my day. Feels good to know that people are recognizing what we’re putting forth.
Peace to Dan, Wale and everyone else over at Elitaste!!!

The crew over at Metal Lungies rolled out another portion of their Beat Drop series. They went on and doubled back to focus on Alchemist. ALC has his fare share of underground bangers and classics, but he’s somehow still slept on.
Anyhow, I was lucky enough to be a part of this one, along with folks like Black Milk and the godfather DJ Premier. Whoa, right?
Check it. I’m still pretty gassed.
Thanks to buhizzle and the rest of ML for putting me on.

I’m back. Miami was straight up amazing. The cars. The weather. The beach. The women. The women. The women. Some highlights include:
- Being able to go to the beach at one’s leisure. All I had to do was just walk outside.
- Seeing a Phantom Drophead Coupe in person. It’s entirely too sick to describe.
- Shoutout to Skateboard D over at The Boogie. He and his crew gave WMF major props. We appreciates it.
- Being pulled up on stage by Pharrell himself and spazzing out with Fam-Lay.
- Building with the head honcho of HipHopGame.
- Tearing down the Face-Off Beat Showcase at Beats On The Beach. Out of about 20 producers, I placed 4th. It was ill to see so many people who I’ve never met before in my life be moved over my music. My man AOK took the #1 spot, and called me up during his acceptance speech to give me his prize. Whoa.
- S1 and his wife giving me all kinds of props. I’m a genuine fan of his and to hear him say such great things to me was crazy.
- Women walking down the streets in bikinis….and heels.
- Partying with AOK, Bena Shad and everybody else. So much love from so many people.
Stay tuned for more updates on this splendiforousness. The entire Beats On The Beach will be broadcasted on Jam Now soon. I’ll come back with the time and date.
Back to work now.

Q-Tip featuring D’Angelo- Believe
That’s right, I didn’t stutter. D’Angelo. Praise the lawd.
Oh, that’s the cover for The Renaissance. Further proof that the MPC is the greatest thing ever to make noise.
Cheynne came thru.

A quick trailer for Madlib’s WLIB AM: King Of The Wigflip, again, out September 30th which isn’t far away. If it seems like I’m overdoing this one….it’s because I probably am.
That’s because it’s Madlib. And Madlib’s great.

Metal Lungies recently took to their popular ‘Beat Drop’ series and this time the hitmakers of the moment were none other than the Neptunes. A few good folks from different sides got the chance to chop it up about their favorite Neptunes beats, including my man DJ Franchise, Wale’s manager Dan, VA’s own Skillz, and…..me! That’s right. I was lucky enough to contribute my two cents and it worked out swimmingly.
Check it out here. Special thanks to buhizzle and Fran for putting me on game.

I was able to make it on a special project, known as Digital Undaground, Volume 2. It’s an upstart series of mixtapes, brought to you in part by my girl Wanja and DJ Chuck, that aim to show a variety of talents all over the world on the hip-hop side of things. It’s a crazy slew of bangers and to be included is an honor. The joint I sent up is called ‘Next Scene’ and Wanja used it for an interlude. I’ll post the instrumental up some time today. In the meantime, click the banner to download it already.
A big thanks to Wanja for keeping her word!!!

Mr. Jones,
I picked up my copy of the new album yesterday and pretty much haven’t been able to turn it off. ‘Queens Get The Money’ >>>>>> than everything out right now.
‘I’m Huey P in Louis V….’
Are you kidding me???
Congratulations, sir.
Respectfully,
$port
EDIT: Minya managed to catch some footage of Nas doing ‘Queens Get The Money’ sans piano at Alife during his party. Damn this song is dope…
