Okay, gang. I’m sure you’ve all heard, seen and felt what’s going on. Now’s the time to act. Let’s all do our part to help the people of Haiti.
The time is now. Not now, but, like, right now. Bag up some old clothes, canned goods, water, whatever and find the nearest legit organization to get that out.
Don’t have any old gear?? Well text the word ‘Yele’ to 501501 to donate $5 to Wyclef’s Yele Haiti Foundation, which has been doing amazing things for the country for quite some time now.
Or for a quick $10 donation, text ‘Haiti’ to 90999 to help out the Red Cross International relief efforts.
Seriously, $5?? $10?? C’mon. That’s milk money. If we can tell you to go buy $100 shirts, we damn sure can and should tell you how to help out mankind. We wouldn’t be responsible if we didn’t. This is an extremely serious matter and the only way the people of Haiti will have a fighting chance is if those of us who are a little more fortunate galvanize and mobilize in the name of humanity. Let’s put the unnecessary snark and cynicism aside for just a few seconds.
If you’ve done anything already, we thank you for those that cannot voice it themselves. If not, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!?!?!??!
