This song is taken from the new series of Dubplate Drama which is hitting Channel 4 and MTV Base in the very near future. This season (3rd) now features NDUBZ stars Tulissa and Dappy as well as the regular cast plus cameos from the UK Urban scene.
Double S continues to impress with his flow and lyrics, whilst you may argue he doesn’t say a lot he says the right things for the right tracks, not sure if he’s doing anything on the solo scene but he’s been doing a lot with his collective Marvell recently.
Donaeo’s album came out recently, its a Funky House CD so expect some bangers on there.
Have you guys ever thought that Donaeo, with his beard and shades, looks a bit like Kano?

They made another video for this song for some reason, the other one came on tv for a bit then went off the radar, I’m guessing this is why.
I like one of the girls from the other video, she’s not in this one, I’m upset.

Why doesn’t youtube let you embed HD videos? They’re stooopid like Deedee in Dexter’s Lab.
SKEPTA – SUNGLASSES AT NIGHT
Nice special effects, coupled with some intricate and clever lyrics “Roses are red, violets are blue, you know I got my eyes on you”.
Ha ha yeah right, here is Skepta with another attempt at some Grim-Pop aka Electro-grime and while this has been on the radio for a while finally the video has dropped and could get him some major exposure.
Skepta has the talent and street following to remain in both entities of UK music, the urban and pop such as Wiley has done. Ghetto could well be on his way in similar fashion but has had to sacrifice his name, changing it from Ghetto to Ghetts.
The thing with this electro-grime is, in order to keep it simple and fun for the radio/clubs they don’t actually say much in their lyrics, but, if they can draw a wide range of listeners in with lets say 2-3 singles and the rest of their albums are grimey as hell then the musical artform of grime may not suffer immensely.
PS. PS3 grime fans, do not add “ghetts” on the PSN thinking its Ghetto, its me, I’m still getting people adding me with the usual “U kool Ghetto. Whens ur next tune coming out?”. I’ll add you and give you as much info about Ghetto as I can but ultimately its not him.

Remix of the song a few posts down below, features a verse from Kano. Skip to about 1:30 to hear it, as Sincere’s verse is the same.

Now with all the Grime/UK Hip Hop heads trying Electro out there’s bound to be some duds along the way, but I don’t think this is one of them, the beat is simple yet infectious and Sincere doesn’t overwork, or underwork his verses, they have a theme and he sticks to them well. You can call it electro you can call it grime, you can call it electro-grime, but I like to call it Grim-Pop, grimey hip-hoppish songs made for pop exposure.
Most importantly, with a video like this, the girls are HAWT, like they make you want to watch the rest of the video, very good selection there.
PS. If you didn’t know Sincere is Scorcher from the Movement’s cousin.

“Today I’m doing a video in the castle, like freely, like rah can’t find a toilet so I’m pissing in the corners”
Guess that’s why they call it Grime huh?
Lol but really though I think any man pretty much would piss in any corner if they couldn’t find a toilet. Why I chose to focus on this one line from the above video I have no idea.
Kano and Griminal also make appearances and Ghetts tells about the single deal he got for this particular song. They need to get it onto MTV Base, The Box and Kiss for it to get anywhere though.

What a nice way to kick off 2009 with another new video from Ghetto, somebody is most definitely on his grind and looking to take over in ‘09.
The video has a kind of Underworld/Blade 2/xXx kind of feel to it, but from the comments last time it seems people just aren’t feeling the song anymore. In order for it to get big in the UK it needs to be on The Box and the Kiss music video channels and obviously MTV Base, I have no idea why MTV Base still only add a select few UK Artists’ videos to their playlists.
Its nice to see Kane and Ghetts back together again too.

You get to listen to the full song here, still no full CDQ of this.
We should all just buy it on iTunes when it comes out. More artist support please!

Possibly the most pointless Electro-Grime song you’ll ever hear.
I guess that means you’re now ejected from my top 3 selected in grime list Mr. Adenuga. Its now Wiley Kano and Ghetto. There I said it.
I don’t think he cares much about my opinion anyway, nor does anyone else.
